Black walnut harvested from the Ozark mountains of northern Arkansas, kiln dried, and laid out in form to contain an opaque black river of resin within its live-edges - this piece conveys the flow of time, inaccessible and yet embedded into our lives.
This table features the same solid black walnut slab and flowing resin inlay, paired with a refined steel base designed to reduce visual weight while preserving presence and stability. The proportions are intentional, not minimal.
The all-steel pedestal is powder coated to a matte-black finish and completed with height-adjustable hard rubber footings.
Finished in Rubio Monocoat for a warm, natural feel that protects the wood without sealing it under plastic. Durable, repairable, and easy to maintain. Two coats of Nano 3 ceramic finish were added over the entire piece providing superior liquid and UV protection while preserving the natural feel and character of the wood.
