A one hundred year old slab of black walnut harvested from the Ozark mountains of northern Arkansas, kiln dried , and laid out in form to contain an opaque black river of resin within its live-edges - this piece conveys the flow of time, inaccessible and yet embedded into our lives.
This table is paired with a more complex sculptural steel Hura base that becomes part of the visual story. It reads as furniture first, functional art second.
Best suited for rooms where the table is meant to be noticed.
The all-steel pedestal is powder coated to a matte-black finish and completed with height-adjustable hard rubber footings.
The walnut is hand-finished with 2 coats of Rubio, followed by 2 coats of Nano 3 ceramic finish over the entire piece providing superior liquid and UV protection while preserving the natural feel and character of the wood.
